TESD decides not to outsource the jobs of 260 aides, paraeducators and substitute teachers.

The TE School Board met in executive session last night and discussed the proposed outsourcing of 260 District aides, paraeducators and substitute teachers. They reached the decision not to outsource the paraprofessional for the 2013/14 school year.
School Board president Kevin Buraks notified the employees of the decision via email today, stating in part "The District will restructure the work hours of the aides, para-educators and paraprofessionals in a manner that complies with the Affordable Care Act and does not result in new costs or penalties to the District..."
Although glad to hear that the District has decided against outsourcing, there are many unanswered questions surrounding Buraks email and what it will mean for the employees.
