Back in 1976 the city of Philadelphia was showcased in the Sylvester Stallone movie classic, “Rocky.” The filmgoers embraced the story of an underdog, out of luck prizefighter who seeks a boxing championship and the love of his life, Adrian. The movie also starred Talia Shire, Bert Ward and Burgess Meredith.
According to history.com, “Rocky includes such memorable lines as "Yo, Adrian!" (directed at Rocky's love interest, played by Talia Shire) and "You're gonna eat lightning, you're gonna crap thunder," as well as the now-iconic scene in which Rocky takes a training run up and down the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art as the movie's theme song, "Gonna Fly Now," plays. Stallone went on to write and star in five more Rocky movies: Rocky II (1979), Rocky III (1982), Rocky IV (1985), Rocky V (1990) and Rocky Balboa (2006).”

Dallas fans wondered, “Who Shot J.R?”
Back in 1980, the television drama, “Dallas,” gained millions of viewers when they learned who shot J.R. Ewing. Actor, Larry Hagman who played this evil oil tycoon to perfection made enemies so the list of “whodunit” was very long. Eight months viewer waited to find out that surprisingly, it was J.R.’s sister-in-law Kristin Shepard, his Wife’s Sue Ellen’s sister who was having an affair with J.R.
According to history.com, “When it finally aired, the episode revealing J.R.'s shooter became one of television's most watched shows, with an audience of 83 million people in the U.S. alone—a full 76 percent of all U.S. televisions on that night were tuned in—and helped put "Dallas" into greater worldwide circulation. It also popularized the use of the cliffhanger by television writers.”
