DANGER: Pennsylvania Driver Tax Ahead

To All Pennsylvania Drivers:

Put your Senator and Representative on notice: tell them they must VOTE NO on these anti-driver bills - They are nothing but a tax.

SB 172, for speed cameras in work zones and on Roosevelt Boulevard

SB 1098, for school bus stop-arm cameras

SB 251, arming municipal police with RADAR guns

SB 1223, for parking tickets by camera in Pittsburgh

These bills are now on the Legislature’s calendar and could come up for a vote at any time. These bills are intended to steal tens of millions of dollars from safe drivers. These bills have NOTHING to do with safety.

There is no work zone crisis, the Boulevard could easily be made safer with simple highway engineering fixes, there is no school bus crisis, there is no speeding crisis. These “crises” have been invented by camera salesmen, and the Legislature has swallowed their snake oil hook, line and sinker. Problem is, WE will PAY and PAY and PAY for their lack of due diligence if these bills are enacted.

These bills will put speed traps on every Pennsylvania road and result in unfair tickets for everybody. Work zone cameras alone could take $30 million a year out of your pockets to enrich camera makers and the government.

This election year is a very important event in Harrisburg. Tell your Senator and Representative that if they vote for these anti-driver tax bills that you WILL VOTE THEM OUT OF OFFICE!
