Concerned Citizens Petition Easttown Board of Supervisors
Wacey garnered 1,396 (24.35%) of the votes, but will Easttown Supervisors heed voters' choice?

In this past November's municipal election, the two candidates who received the most votes for the two open Easttown supervisor positions were incumbent Betsy Fadem (R) and Brandon Adams (D). Unfortunately, Brandon’s employer was acquired by a company that prohibits his serving in local government. The candidate
with the third highest number of votes was Michael Wacey (D), who is still available, prepared, and fit to serve as Easttown Supervisor.
In this unusual situation, there is no automatic legal mechanism to award the position to the candidate with the next highest number of votes. Easttown Supervisors are currently accepting resumes of qualified residents to serve; Michael Wacey has submitted his. The supervisors may appoint a new supervisor to fill the vacant position as early as Monday, January 15, at the next open Board of Supervisors meeting.
As concerned citizens of Easttown Township, we recommend that the Easttown Supervisors appoint Michael Wacey. Appointing Michael, though not legally prescribed, would be in keeping with the will of the voters.
Michael has demonstrated his commitment to the township by running twice for supervisor and attending township meetings. He is an established longtime resident. He is well-qualified through professional experience, character, and temperament.
