Conestoga Boys' Tennis Team Advances to States

2018 Central League champs defeat Radnor for coveted spot in state tournament

The fifth-seeded Conestoga Pioneers defeated the sixth-seeded Radnor Raiders 3-2 in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) District 1 (3A) match Wednesday, May 9.

The Pioneers took a singles match and two doubles matches to overtake the Raiders at the UMLY in Berwyn. The win earned the Conestoga team a 5th place finish and a coveted place at the state tournament.

The Conestoga team went undefeated in the Central League during the regular season, having toppled Lower Merion last week, and earning the team the League Champion title.
