Conestoga Class of 2018 Donates To Suicide Prevention Group

Conestoga's Class of 2018 has a lot to be proud of, and their donation to a suicide prevention group is another reason to be prideful.

BERWYN, PA – The Conestoga High School Class of 2018 has a lot to be proud of. From students earning coveted academic scholarships to their star athletes continuing their athletic career in college, the Class of 2018 has stood out.

And now they can add another laurel, as they have donated thousands of dollars to a suicide prevention group.

Tredyffrin/Easttown School District officials said the class officers of the 2018 recently presented a gift of $6,000 to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (ASFP).

The officers gave the check to Sarah Hart, Area Director of Philadelphia and Delaware for the AFSP.

Funds were raised through various efforts throughout the year and will assist local programs in educating students and families on how to help prevent suicide, the district said.

The AFSP is a voluntary health organization established in 1987. It funds research, runs educational programs, advocates for public policies in mental health and suicide prevention, and supports survivors of suicide loss. AFSP is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.
