Conestoga Students Vying For TV Production Award With Music Video

A comedy music video by Gabi Miko, Drew Wetzel, Katie Rosenblum, and Ronan Mayock is in the running for a National Student Production Award.

BERWYN, PA – Four Conestoga High Schoolers with a knack for the arts and production are vying for an award with their comedy music video about winter break, and ultimately going back to school.

The team of Gabi Miko, Drew Wetzel, Katie Rosenblum, and Ronan Mayock have their comedy music video "Hawt Koko" entered in the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) National Student Production Awards.

These Conestoga students will vie for the award alongside three other teams from Cedar Crest High School in Lebanon County, Parkland High School in Lehigh County, and Penn Trafford High School in Westmoreland County.

"Hawt Koko" is a comedy rap song and video about ways to enjoy winter break from school. But about halfway through the video, video take turn that's just as funny as the lyrics. You can watch it above.

The awards presentation will be live-streamed from the Los Angeles campus of Emerson College on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at noon, pacific time, and will be hosted by Tom Bergeron, host of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

Conestoga's team was chosen from more than 2,000 entries nationwide in 23 programming and craft categories.
