Using the cover of Speed Trap Bill SB 607 they want to harvest your cash using RADAR everywhere, milking you like the cash cows they think you are.
First, officials post speed limits low to make “speeders” of 85% of the driving public. Now, they want to pass Speed Trap Bill SB 607, giving RADAR to municipal police, mouthing the ruse “It’s for Safety,” but it’s really to make it much easier to catch you “speeding” and rake in your cash.

What they don’t disclose is that posted speed limits are NOT the safest speeds. The speeds that you drive every day ARE, and those speeds are 8 to 16 MPH above what’s posted. Using cherry-picked and bogus data the RADAR lobby falsely claim that there is a crisis of “speeding” drivers running amok slaughtering people everywhere.
Not true. The super-majority of drivers want to get from A to B without having an accident. We do that by driving 85th Percentile Speeds, the safest speeds with the most compliance. But by using urban legend and pounding on the fiction “EVERYBODY SPEEDS!” the RADAR lobby want to scare us in accepting RADAR, saying that RADAR will save us.
Again, not true. Posting limits at the 85th Percentile Speeds makes highways safer. RADAR will only steal money from safe drivers.
