Easttown Township seeks a volunteer for a vacant position on its Historical Commission (HC). As an advisory body, the HC provides historical preservation information to residents and makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on the rehabilitation, preservation, adaptive reuse, restoration, and acquisition of significant historical structures and sites. Interested candidates must be residents of the Township and have availability on the evenings of the second Wednesday each month for regular business meetings. Residents interested in historic properties with the following backgrounds are encouraged apply: architects, architectural or art historians, attorneys, museum curators, realtors, historic home restoration, historic commission/HARB or residents who simply love researching history, historic homes, and the people who lived in them.
