This election, think of what’s good for the people.
Two Speed Trap Bills, SB 172, authorizing speed cameras in work zones and on Roosevelt Boulevard, and SB 251, authorizing RADAR guns for municipal police, are not good for highway safety and are not good for the people.

There is no crisis of highway workers being slaughtered, and there is no crisis of speeders running amok. Special interests and the politicians who service them have ginned up the media into reporting that we NEED speed cameras and RADAR.
No, we don’t. For safety, what is needed are properly set speed limits, set to the safest speed, not the most-easily-ticketed speed, which is what 90% of limits are set at now. For safety, what we need are synchronized traffic signals and underground
