Former Conestoga Aide Pleads Guilty In Student Sex Abuse Case
Arthur Phillips, a former Conestoga High School paraprofessional, pleaded guilty to sex crimes and faces up to 20 years in prison.

BERWYN, PA – A former Conestoga High School paraprofessional accused of sexually assaulting a female student several times has pleaded guilty and now faces 20 years in prison.
Arthur Phillips, 67, of Wayne, pleaded guilty to involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, institutional sexual assault, and corruption of minors, court records show.
Twenty years represents his maximum sentence.

Phillips was first arrested in April this year.
Phillips and the student had sexual contact 10 times in January this year, after the two became friends.

The victim told police she refused sex with Phillips and that he then forced her. All of it happened before she turned 16.
Police said that hundreds of messages between Phillips and the student were discovered, most sexual in nature with photos included.
Phillips worked in the school's TV production studio and has been with the district as a paraprofessional since 2006.
