The fight against the $500 million nuclear bailout has taken a new twist. Now, the renewable energy lobby is demanding a “seat at the table” in the “negotiations” for the bailout.
The only people who should have a seat at the table are the taxpayers whom some in the Legislature seem eager to fleece, yet again. The solar industry expects to get a bailout, too, because it is a failed industry. There is no end to the special interests who want us to guarantee their profit.
If renewables were worth anything they would exist in the market on their own merits. But they don’t: all
renewables are subsidized by the taxpayers.

So they put a guilt trip on us by reverting to virtue signaling. We have to do the right thing and stop climate change. Giving $500 million and who knows how much to renewables will not solve climate change. It will be a massive wealth transfer from the people to Exelon and to the renewable industry.
We shouldn’t be forced to buy something we don’t want. When is the Legislature going to stand up for the people?
No Nuclear Bailout. Period.
