No Tax Hikes In Proposed 2018 Tredyffrin Budget

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA – Tredyffrin Township released its 2018 proposed budget recently, and its good news for residents.
The current budget proposal contains no tax increases. Should it pass in its current form, that would mark five years of no tax hikes imposed by the township.
The millage rate would stay at 2.38 mills in the current budget. The average tax bill with that rate is $534.23, according to the township.

The 2018 budget stands at $20.51 million and includes increased funding for fire companies and the library.
Expenses for 2018 are up from 2017 by 6.51 percent, according to the township.

Tredyffrin Township Supervisors will meet and vote on the preliminary budget Monday, Nov. 20.
Staff, along with members of the Board’s Finance Committee will hold a "Budget Open House" on Nov. 29 to answer specific questions from members of the Public.
After discussions during the first meeting in December, the Board will officially adopt the 2018 budget on Dec. 18.
