Paoli Baptist Church Welcomes Their New Pastor!

An astounding total of 90% of the vote from members who were in attendance approved Tim McGill as Paoli Baptist Church's next Pastor. Pastor Tim McGill and his lovely wife, Denise are pleased to join
this church and also getting to know this community of Chester County's Tredyffrin Township.

Pastor McGill was born and raised in Ashtabula, Ohio. He was a track and field sprinter at Edgewood High School. In his senior year, he posted fifth fastest time in the United States for young men in his
age bracket for 200 meters. He still holds this school record 44 years later.

Pastor McGill originally went to Kent State University to study business. He holds a dual degree in this major, however, while working on his Undergraduate degree, he felt the calling and became a campus
minister instead. Additionally, he has recently fulfilled his lifelong dream of graduating with a Master's Degree in Theology (magna cum laude) from Moody Theological Seminary.

In 1977 he joined the staff of “CRU,” (formally Campus Crusade for Christ) and an athletic ministry called “Athletes in Action.” Pastor McGill stated that, “he competed on the Athletes in Action track team for two years which was located in Southern California before transferring to the organization's campus ministry.” He would later initiate this athletic ministry at Penn State University in 1979. Happily, he would meet his future wife Denise a year later at the University, just before she left the United States for a missionary job in Kenya Africa.

Pastor McGill acknowledged that, “they enjoyed a long distance relationship, before marrying Denise in the May of 1982. Now, after 34 years of marriage they have two daughters Kristen and Kelly who
are both graduates of Penn State University. They both reside in the Washington, DC area. The McGill's have recently welcomed a son-in-law, Chad from his marriage to Kelly.

Pastor Tim and his Wife Denise stated that, “they enjoy taking motorcycle rides around the country on their Honda Goldwing, along with cooking, entertaining with friends and talking long walks with their Sheltie Sheep Dog, Ellie.”
