On Tuesday night, October 15th, 2013, the Paoli Fire Company placed in to service a brand new Engine/Rescue. Engine 3-1 can function as pumper truck, and also a vehicle extrication apparatus. Engine 3-1 contains a wide variety of equipment. A description is posted below of the apparatus.
The new Engine 3-1 is officially in service. Engine 3-1 is a 2013 Pierce Arrow Xt. It is powered by a 450hp Cummings Motor. Engine 3-1 has a 950 gallon water tank, with a 30 gallon Class A foam tank. A 2000 g.p.m. waterous pump and a Cafs system. Engine 3-1 has 6 pre-connected hand lines and 950' of 5' supply line. Engine 3-1 carries 400lbs of Oil Dry in an air operated hopper. Engine 3-1 also has 6-6000psi air cascade unit, 1 Combination unit Hurst tool, 1- Spreader, 1- set of rams, cribbing, 1-24' extension ladder, 1-12' roof ladder. Engine 3-1 also has Led warning lights, Led scene safety lights, and a 6 head Will-Burt light tower.
