Proposed TESD Budget With Tax Increase Moves Forward
The district voted to move the preliminary budget forward, making a more than 2.5 percent tax increase all the more likely for residents.
BERWYN, PA — Residents in Tredyffrin/Easttown School District will likely see a tax increase, as the board of school directors this week voted to move ahead with the 2020-2021 preliminary budget.
On Monday, the board voted to adopt the preliminary budget, which includes a 2.6 percent property tax increase.
The 2.6 percent hike is the legislated Act 1 index and is in place to help close a projected deficit of about $7.7 million, the district said.
