TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Tredyffrin Township released their monthly report for January, highlighting police activity in the township from last month.

Jan. 3

An adult male from the Wayne section of Tredyffrin Township was arrested and charged with terroristic threats and harassment after making threatening statements and gestures about inflicting physical harm to other individuals.

Jan. 7

Officers arrested and charged an adult male from Upper Chichester after he violated an active Protection From Abuse Order in the Paoli section of Tredyffrin Township.

Jan. 13

Tredyffrin Township detectives obtained an arrest warrant for an adult female from Camden, New Jersey, charging her with attempted forgery and attempted theft by deception, after the individual attempted to cash a fraudulent check in the amount of $4,960.24 at a financial institution in the Chesterbrook section of Tredyffrin Township.

Jan. 14

Tredyffrin Township Police Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for an adult female from King of Prussia, charging her with financial exploitation of an older adult, theft by deception, receiving stolen property, forgery, identity theft, and criminal use of a communication facility after she took advantage of an adult female while she was employed as her house cleaner.

Jan. 17

An adult male from Warren, New Jersey, was arrested on an outstanding warrant stemming from a forgery investigation that began in December 2025. The individual is charged with forgery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and identity theft. The actor obtained two loans totaling more than $10,000 using another individual’s identity.

Jan. 18

An adult female from Berwyn was arrested and charged with simple assault, harassment, and terroristic threats following a domestic disturbance at a residence in the Berwyn section of Tredyffrin Township.

Jan. 30

Officers arrested and charged an unhoused male after he was discovered on private property, of which, he had been informed he was no longer welcome. The actor also attempted to flee from responding officers and swallowed multiple bags of narcotics in an attempt to avoid apprehension and arrest. He was charged with criminal trespass, flight to avoid apprehension, evading arrest or detention, tampering or fabricating physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.


Police issued the following safety tips for residents amid frigid temperatures and after the month's heavy snowstorm.

Pedestrians

  • If sidewalks are impassable, walk facing traffic whenever possible.
  • Wear bright or reflective clothing to stay visible, especially during early morning or evening hours.
  • Avoid walking between parked cars and use extra caution at intersections and crosswalks.

Drivers

  • Expect pedestrians in the roadway where sidewalks are blocked or narrowed by snowbanks.
  • Slow down, increase following distance, and stay alert—especially in residential areas and near schools.
  • Be patient and allow extra time to stop on snowy or icy roads.

"Community safety is a shared responsibility," police said. "With a little extra awareness and patience, we can help prevent injuries and keep everyone safe during winter conditions."
