Conestoga won its fifth game of the season on Saturday versus Daniel Boone HS of Birdsboro, Pa.After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the first the Pioneers rallied behind a mammoth, 2 run home run off the bat of Senior Katie Mayock. Conestoga would then settle in behind the solid pitching of Sophmore Lauren Lofland who struck out four and only walked one while giving up one earned run. Conestoga played solid defense to support her efforts.
It was the first home game of the season for the Pioneers after playing their previous five on the road. In that stretch they defeated Ridley, Haverford, Lower Merion and Upper Darby while losing to Garnet Valley.
The Pioneers are on the road this week on Tuesday versus Phoenixville and Wednesday at Marple Newtown, before returning home for two games at D'Ambrosia Field against Penncrest on Thursday at 3:45 and Merion Mercy on Saturday morning at 10:00.
