Swedesford Road: A Disaster Waiting To Happen. DO SOMETHING NOW!

What happens to and what has happened to the money I pay for road maintenance? PA has the second highest gas tax. We are being robbed.

Dear Neighbors:
I don't know if you have been on Swedesford between North Valley and Ceder Hollow but it is a dangerously degraded thoroughfare. The number and size of the potholes are causing vehicle damage, and threaten the safety of everyone who drives on it.
We need to turn the heat up on PennDOT through Representative Shusterman and Senator Dinniman.
Her local phone number is (484) 200-8260, and her email contact form is http://pahouse.com/Shusterman/Contact

His local phone number is (610) 692-2112, and his email contact is http://www.senatordinniman.com/contact-us
I urge everyone to email both of them and call their offices until they get PennDOT to re-pave that portion of Swedesford - and NOT just the gonzo pothole patching they usually do.
I have emailed and called Representative Shusterman , and the response has been tepid. Was voting her in to replace Kampf a mistake? Maybe she will stand up for the taxpayer's safety and well-being by demanding that PennDOT re-pave swedesford within 24 hours. I am now emailing Dinniman and will call him Monday.
Below is the first email I sent to Representative Shusterman. Thank you.

Dear Representative Shusterman:
I am writing to complain about the condition of Swedesford Road between North Valley Road and Cedar Hollow Road.
The street surface is beyond horrible, to the extent that the potholes now damage vehicles. In addition, it is now a safety hazard. PennDOT needs to be taken to task and spurred into immediate action to re-pave the surface. Not do the usual gonzo, sub-standard pothole “repairs” they usually do, but RE-PAVE the road.
I urge you to get on the phone to PennDOT immediately and demand that they re-pave the road within 24 hours!
Repairing the roads is one of the few legitimate functions of government, and you should consider it a priority, and perhaps an emergency, as it directly affects the safety and pocket-book of every one of your constituents who drive on Swedesford.
Pennsylvania, thanks to a previous Legislature, passed the second-highest gas tax in the country to get the roads into decent driving shape. This has been a dismal failure. What happens to and what has happened to the money I pay for road maintenance?
Please reply to this letter and tell me what you are doing to remedy the disgraceful condition of Swedesford Road. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Tom McCarey
