Tell the Transportation Committee: VOTE NO on SB 1098

Factually, there is no need for stop arm cameras on school buses. Emotion ruled the PA Senate. Tell them to VOTE NO.

Next week the House Transportation Committee takes up Senate Bill 1098, stop arm cameras on school buses. Tell your Representative and the Committee to VOTE NO on SB 1098.

In relying on emotion rather than facts, the Senate unanimously voted the wrong way on SB 1098.

Where is the need for stop arm cameras when the number of children killed by passing cars in 2015 was zero? Factual statistics do not support the use of stop arm cameras.

The fact is, SB 1098 is redundant: there are surveillance cameras on school buses right now that could film lawbreakers. What is the reason for stop arm cameras, that would strain struggling school district budgets, except to reward the camera makers?

VOTE NO on SB 1098. Rely on facts for your vote, not emotion.

In a fit of emotional irrationality, the Senate unanimously voted the wrong way on SB 1098.

Since student fatalities caused by passing autos are very rare, why not address the dangers bus drivers pose to the children? Factual statistics do not support the use of stop arm cameras.

Cameras are already in buses that could film lawbreakers. Why another set of cameras?

VOTE NO on SB 1098. Rely on facts for your vote, not emotion. This is an election year and drivers are fed up with invented taxes like SB 1098. Thank you.
