The Elephant in the Room

To all of you wimps out there who are screaming and complaining about New Jersey’s Governor Christie’s

Picture in Time’s magazine I have this to say, as a Republican, if anyone would portray me as, “The Elephant in the room”, I would be a proud man because the implication in the picture is not directed at his personal appearance but rather at the aura of his persona.

Governor Christie is, with his big win in New Jersey, the frontrunner for the 2016 presidential election and as such, it is an honor to be portrayed as the elephant in the room meaning,  watch out, here comes the elephant trampling all over those democrats trying to win the White House and continue the liberal policies of Mr. Obama.

A few weeks ago, while I was having a philosophical  discussion about my father and life in general, my friend reply, your father was a Mensch.   I really did not know what that meant at the time except that my friend said that it was good.   My father was a proud Sicilian, a man of integrity, moral character and a had a gentleness that could have tamed a stallion.   I guess, these are Sicilian traits because I see the same traits in Governor Christie who by the way is Sicilian (his mother was Sicilian.)

Yes, Governor Christie is the “Elephant in the Room” but, Governor Christie is also a “Mensch.”
