Tredyffrin/Easttown Schools Closing Monday For Training
Staff will have an in-service day to prepare for distance learning in the event of a long-term school closure due to the novel coronavirus.

BERWYN, PA — The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District said it will close Monday for an in-service day so staff can prepare for distance learning in the event of a long-term school closure due to the novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19.
According to the district, students will not report to school Monday, March 16.
Due to Monday being an in-service day, the end-of year school calendar does not need to be adjusted.

"As plans are being further developed between now and Monday, March 16, you will receive additional details about how families can support student participation in distance learning days," Superintendent Robert Gusick said. "We will continue to monitor guidance from the Pennsylvania Department of Education pertaining to how we will proceed in the event of an extended closure lasting more than ten school days."
In the event of isolated one-day school closures, the district plans to treat the day like a snow day and make up the day using emergency closing days at the end of the school year.
