Tredyffrin Promotes Officer Costa To Corporal, Citing Bravery In Line of Duty
Congratulations and good work, Corporal Costa!

TREDYFFRIN, PA — The Tredyffrin Twp. Police Department and Superintendent Anthony Giaimo promoted Officer Scott Costa to the rank of Corporal on July 18th, they announced in a press release.
The promotion ceremony occurred before the Board of Supervisors in Keene Hall, the release states.
Costa, 39, is an 11 year veteran of the department, police said.

He was was promoted to Corporal from the rank of Class “A” Patrol Officer and assigned as a second in command of a patrol squad, the release states.
"At the Tredyffrin Township Police Department we continually strive for excellence and quality of service," Superintendent Anthony Giaimo said in a statement." Costa's recent accomplishments include providing vital medical treatment at the scene of a shooting on Summit Avenue on November 8, 2014, police said.
The gunman, John Richard Berry, shot his son and then killed himself while police were present.
Costa's calm and valorous actions earned him a Commendation of Bravery.
