Tredyffrin Township Making Changes Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

All meeting are canceled; use of public basketball, tennis, roller hockey and volleyball courts is prohibited; and libraries are closed.

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — With a local outbreak of the new coronavirus, known as COVID-19, Tredyffrin Township is taking steps to protect its residents from the illness.

The township said it will operate on an essential employee only basis for the next two weeks.

Initially, some meetings were still open to the public, but the township said Monday that all meetings have been canceled.

All parks will be open, but the bathrooms in them will be closed.

Additionally, all basketball, tennis, roller hockey and volleyball courts in township parks are closed until further notice.

The township's libraries will also be closed through April 12.

Police and EMS services will operate normally with extra precautions taken by responders to protect them from potential infection.

The township's "Anything With a Plug" electronic recycling event scheduled for April 4 has been postponed, as well.
