Tredyffrin Veteran, Who Was 'Dared' To Shoot By Daughter's Friend, Gets Probation
A Tredyffrin military veteran who served five tours in the Middle East has been given probation in the incident.

A Tredyffrin man who allegedly shot another man after the victim “dared” him to shoot has been sentenced to probation, according to court documents.
Shawn Pecora, 50, of Chesterbrook, believed the victim, an ex-convict, had been harassing his daughter, the Daily Local News reports.
Pecora, who served five tours in the Middle East and reportedly suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, plead no contest to simple assault, documents show.

Pecora reportedly went to pick up his daughter Devon at 12:30 a.m. on February 9, when she called her father and said she had gotten into an argument with Bryan Love, 30, the victim, and needed a ride home.
When Pecora arrived to the home on Markel Road, Love saw that he had a handgun, and reportedly said,“What, are you going to shoot me?” and stepped out of the truck and began pushing Pecora.

Pecora said he did not intend to shoot but Love continued pushing and insisted he “fight like a man,” the Daily Local News reports. That’s when Pecora shot him in the leg, once.
Love has been in and out of Chester County prison, including a three to six year sentence in 2012 for assaulting two West Chester men with a brick, court documents state.
