Wayne Turkey Trot Raises $15K For Main Line Groups
The first ever Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk in downtown Wayne drew more than 200 participants and helped out two local groups. Well done!

WAYNE, PA – Nearly 200 people descended on downtown Wayne for Thanksgiving this year to participate in the inaugural Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk, which raised funds for of the For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation and Main Line Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
In total, the event raised more than $150,000 for the foundations.
The run was hosted by Philadelphia-based FS Investments.

Both foundations offer a wide-range of services to the greater Philadelphia area.
For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation, inspired by the late Peter R. Bossow Jr. is dedicated to assisting adult cancer patients, their caregivers, and loved ones. The nonprofit offers a secure and comfortable environment for patients to take a break from their diagnoses.

The contribution to the Main Line Chamber of Commerce Foundation will provide resources for the local EMS and first responders in the area. The Main Chamber of Commerce Foundation is dedicated to its community servants, who work day in and out for the safety of their neighbors.
"Our inaugural Turkey Trot was a terrific way for FS team members who live in the suburbs to come together and raise over $15,000 to support causes that are vital to the local community," Michael Gerber, Executive Vice President of Corporate & Public Affairs for FS Investments, said. "Giving back is central to what we do and having our employees kickoff the Thanksgiving holiday this way was a lot of fun and also impactful."
Organizers said the success of this year's event has them excited for similar community events in the future.
The Turkey Trot 5K event was organized and led by the FS Foundation team, the philanthropic arm of FS Investments aimed at positively impacting communities through community engagements and service.
