*Police departments, tasked with enforcing too-low speed limits, will get more overtime.
*Auto insurers (the biggest boosters of automated camera enforcement, by the way) will add surcharges to your policy. Could be worth a billion dollars a year to them.
The people in the revenue stream are desperate to give RADAR guns to municipal police. Using urban legends and half-truths to scare you into allowing RADAR. There is no "speeding" crisis. Out of 2.7 million traffic accidents recorded in twenty-five states over the course of a year, only 1.6 percent were caused by drivers who exceeded the posted speed limit.
Does the RADAR lobby want to arm municipal police with RADAR guns for your safety?
