• $1M Grant will boost Special Olympics programs in NEPA (thetimes-tribune.com) — Tioga County athletes with intellectual disabilities are in line for expanded Special Olympics sports, health, and school programs thanks to a new $1 million, three-year grant for 13 northeastern Pennsylvania counties. The funding aims to more than double athlete participation, greatly increase Unified Champion Schools, and bring higher-profile competitions to the region, giving local participants more visibility and support.
