'92 Olympic Women's B-ball Coach Grentz to Visit UDHS

The hall-of-famer will visit Upper Dublin in January for a presentation.

According to an e-mail from the , Women's Basketball Hall of Famer and '92 Olympic coach Theresa Grentz will visit the high school on January 18th to give a presentation on preparing students to become NCAA athletes.

The e-mail, sent by Sandy Run Middle School principal Denise Falconi, in its entirety:

Playing Sports in College – Upper Dublin High School is excited to announce their hosting of an evening program titled “An Insider’s View to Preparing Your Child for College Athletics” by Mrs. Theresa Grentz. Grentz is a member of the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, 1992 US Olympic Women’s Basketball Coach and three (3) time National Champion as a player for Immaculata College’s “Mighty Macs”.  The event will be held in the Upper Dublin High School Cafeteria on Wednesday January 18, 2012 at 7:00 pm. Mrs. Grentz currently travels the nation as a motivational speaker and is a color analyst for women’s basketball on the Big Ten Network.  She will speak about her personal experiences as a player and coach, the NCAA Eligibility Center, the recruiting process, what parents & students can do now to prepare for college athletics and what students can expect once they are in the college setting.  This evening is geared for prospective athletes in all sports.
