Boy Scout Troop 542 Participates in Council-Wide Alaska Gold Rush Event

Boy Scouts from Troop 542 in Maple Glen recently participated in the Cradle of Liberty Council’s Alaska Gold Rush. Held at Camp Delmont, Musser Scout Reservation, near Green Lane, Pa., the event is a competition among 40 patrols from Philadelphia, Montgomery and Delaware counties. Boy Scouts pulled sleds filled with supplies to different sites throughout the camp while testing their skills in areas including cooking, first aid, knot tying, tomahawk throwing, archery, orienteering and team-building exercises.
