Local Students Selected for Photography Exhibition

Upper Dublin and Germantown Academy both represented.

The work of two local students was recently selected for the prestigious 20th Annual Phillips Mill Photography Exhibition, held in New Hope, Pa.

Conor O'Mara, a student at Upper Dublin High School, and Alexandra Wright, a student at Germantown Academy, were two of 37 students from around Pennsylvania and New Jersey who were accepted into the juried competition.

Although neither was selected for the first place prize, both now have their photographs hanging in the Phillips Hill Community Association building in a gallery that will run through April 8th.

"It was really exiting to have work chosen to be in the show," said O'Mara. "It's this kind of positive feedback that gives me an incentive to keep shooting."

The gallery is located at 2619 River Road in New Hope, and holds 1-5 p.m. hours on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday and 1-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
