SAT, PSAT ACT Math and Science.... Reading... College Essays...
These are the most common calls for educational support over the summer months.
For the college admissions tests: ACT, SAT and the PSAT... the summer is a good time to prep for the tests with out the additional time constraints and pressures of the school year. Generally speaking test prep is best done over time since the content of the tests is so broad and the strategies to master the tests are varied, but the summer affords a great launching point.
Academic subjects like Algebra, and Chemistry and Physics which can be problematic for students are much easier to deal with when one is able to keep pace with the classes... so an excellent summer strategy is to preview the the courses and work ahead to get a jump on the fall. This can be done with any course.
Reading... summer reading is important to prepare for certain classes where reading is assigned, but consistent reading is also very valuable to help maintain skills and avoid drop off during the non-school months. There is a huge relationship among reading and comprehension and writing skills as well that can be addressed and improved over the summer.
In any case, the best place to start ANY program is with a full assessment and evaluation of your present circumstance. From there, an optimal program can be developed to suit your schedule, needs and goals.
