Scouts Pay Memorial Day Tribute to Local Patriots

The Boy Scouts of Troop 114 Place Flags on Graves of Veterans Buried at Rose Hill Cemetery on Butler Pike.

Upper Dublin’s Boy Scout Troop 114, which meets at Upper Dublin Lutheran Church every Tuesday at 7 p.m., heeded the Church’s call to help members of the congregation “flag” some 300+ veterans’ graves at the church’s historic cemetery in time for Memorial Day.

The troop, which was chartered in 1914, has a proud history of community service. “The boys were happy to participate in this group effort,” says Troop Master Jack Vogel. “This church has been very generous to our troop, so not only can we help the congregation, but it’s an opportunity this Memorial Day to remember the deceased men and women who have served our country.”
