UD Lady LAX Trio to Play at Next Level
Kelly Cross, Brooke Callahan, and Michele DeVincent to play in college.

When we checked in with the Upper Dublin girls' lacrosse team last spring, the Lady Cardinals were tearing through their competition. In fact, 'tearing through' might be too cliche of a word-- in a span of six Suburban One American Conference games, the Lady Cards had outscored their opponents 84-9, en route to a third consecutive league title and a state playoff berth.
The strong play of the team was greatly due to a trio of players; Kelly Cross, Brooke Callahan, and Michele DeVincent, who have all signed letters on intent to play at the next level, according to an article on SuburbanOneSports.com.
“This senior class – a lot of them have played together since second grade through Crooked Cross, so it’s been really exciting to watch them come up through the youth program," said Dee Cross in the article, adding that there are an additional two or three seniors who might play at the NCAA level.

Cross, a mid-fielder who often sets the tone of the game with her distribution, will take her talents to Syracuse University, a national powerhouse in the sport. DeVincent, also a mid-fielder, will fly across the country to play at the University of California Berkeley, after also considering Yale, according to the article.
Callahan, a leading attacker for the Cardinals, will stay a bit closer to home and play at Lafayette University.
