UD Sports: Lacrosse Dominates Norristown, 15-0

The Flying Cardinals rebounded from in a big way, downing the Norristown Eagles 15-0 on Tuesday afternoon.

Senior mid-fielder Kelly Cross led the scoring with four goals, the last of which was her 200th-career goal for the Flying Cardinals.

Julie Cross contributed another three goals, and Brooke Callahan, Anna Trentini, Rachel DeFrangia all had two goals each. Emily Hitchings and Taylor D'Ginto rounded out the scoring with a goal apiece.

UD goalie Sarah Gallagher had four saves on the afternoon, and Norristown goalie Ellie Gilette had five saves in the loss for the Eagles.

The win for the Flying Cardinals puts their overall record at 3-1 for the year, as they prepare to host the Upper Moreland squad on Thursday.
