Words and picture sent to Patch from Yang family.
Upper Dublin High School sophomore Alan Yang recently had the honor of playing in two recitals at New York City’s Carnegie Hall.
The first concert was the Winner’s Recital for the World Piano Competition of Cincinnati, in which Alan won a gold medal in the Level 11 Concerto category and a silver medal in the Level 11 Solo category this past summer.
Alan’s second performance was part of the Winner’s Recital for the American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music, in which Alan was awarded second place this fall.
In addition to playing piano, Alan also enjoys composing, and one of his pieces won an award in the Golden Key International Piano Composition Competition. Alan has been putting on concerts with other students at Sunrise Senior Living in Dresher to entertain the residents there.
