Upper Dublin EASTERN Student Takes Home Award at National Competition

Six EASTERN students attended the SkillsUSA National Competitions, and all placed in the top 10.

Six students from Eastern Center for the Arts and Technology (EASTERN) in Willow Grove competed in their skill areas with their leadership proficiency at the SkillsUSA National Competitions help June 20 through 24 in Kansas City, Missouri. All of the Eastern students placed in the top 10.

Winners from EASTERN include Benjamin Welch, an EASTERN Computer Network Administration student and a senior at Upper Dublin High School, who took home 9th place for Internetworking. The competition consisted of three main parts – networking design, general networking knowledge and hands-on evaluations.

Allison Bittner, an EASTERN Commercial Art student and Abington High School junior, earned third place for Pin Design; Kristen Fitzpatrick, a senior from Hatboro-Horsham High School, Tatyana Leonova, a junior at Lower Moreland High School, and Angelo Patiri, a senior at Upper Moreland High School earned fifth place for Chapter Design; nad Michael Gabage, a Jenkintown High School senior received sixth place in the Job Interview category.
