All Upper Dublin High School Seniors have been invited to attend the annual Post Prom Party. The high school PTO has been hosting a post prom party since 1990 at Highpoint for the seniors, whether they choose to go to prom or not, for free.
“All seniors don’t want the party to end,” said Linda Brink, one of the moms coordinating the event.
There are games for the kids all night, and the party is a lock-in, where the seniors must be at Highpoint by 1:30 a.m. and cannot leave until 6 a.m.

Brink said there are activities all night for the kids, including a blow up twister game, a mechanical bull, a fortuneteller, a money booth that blows money, a photo booth, laser tag, and even casino games.
Everything is open all night so the seniors don’t have to worry about missing something or scheduling their night. They also have a “Fastpass” for popular games, where groups can signup for certain times so they don’t have to wait in line.

Throughout the night the kids are playing for play money and that money they can turn into tickets and can bid on prizes. Prizes are fun things that they can use as they head off to college and the next phase of their life.
Brink said the night is sponsored by parents and the community. Local businesses donate food, drinks and even prizes.
Decorations for the night are salvaged from the senior class’s theme from spirit week, which, this ear, is the “End of the World.”
Brink added that the parents have broken tradition this year, and the front of Highpoint is the senior week theme and the rest is “This is Your Future” to keep the night fun.
She continued that nearly 85 percent of the students that go to prom come to the Post Prom Party and around 70 percent of dates go. Dates that are not from Upper Dublin or are underclassmen are invited to the post prom party.
She added that they also get a number of kids that come to the post prom party that don’t go to prom.
“Most of the kids look forward to it,” she said.
It’s a long standing…really nice tradition,” she continued.
