Viewfinder: Upper Dublin Wing Bowl 2011

This year's competition raised money for the Jimmy 'V' Foundation for Cancer Research.

On Wednesday, Feb. 16, the Second "Bi-Annual" Wing Bowl took place at Upper Dublin High School to raise money for the Jimmy 'V' Foundation for Cancer Research.

The event was first held in 2009, and after a year break, made its return to the new Cardinals Nest.

Audience members paid a small donation to gain entrance to the event, which featured three five-minute "all-you-can-eat" preliminary rounds, each with nine contestants. The top two eaters from each round advanced to the finals, along with three at-large contestants.

Senior Matt Craig took home the trophy, with a total of 58 wings devoured. Alex Fleischer took home second place, with 54 wings, and also won the "fan favorite" award due to his themed costume as President Abraham "Wingking," complete with a pair of "Secret Service" members.

The Fireside Bar and Grille donated over 1,000 wings to the event, which was organized by Jake Paston, Zach Borgman, Josh Field, Sam Goldberg and Ryan Hopkins.
