The holiday season often brings to mind thoughts of others less fortunate than ourselves and we reach out to help. When we do, most times we do not think to look in our own back yard for those with needs. Annually Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery look to help youth at The Caring Place, 931 Hamilton Street, Allentown. The Caring Place is a youth development center that reaches out to youth, in the inner city, who are in need of help to overcome the pressures and disadvantages of their environment. They support a multitude of programs to build self-esteem, increase educational potential and provide a positive and motivational support system, giving youth a chance to lead successful lives. Included in the many ways The Caring Place helps the community they supply coats to many children in the area . . . children that do not have any coat. Yearly they supply thousands of coats to youth that would otherwise go cold through the winter months. Many of us go to our closet each day trying to decide which coat to wear for the day, we can’t even imagine going to the closet and no coat being there to keep us warm for the day.
Clover Hill Vineyards and Winery would like to reach out to our community to offer assistance to replenish their currently low inventory of coats. Clover Hill will be collecting gently used coats, of sizes from babies to adults, to then donate to The Caring Place. Our coat drive will be from Monday, December 2 through Sunday, December 8, 2013.
If you do not have a coat to donation but would like to offer other forms of help to The Caring Place you can learn about more them and their needs at: http://www.thecaringplace.org/home.html .

For your donation of a coat Clover Hill will offer you a toasty warm 10% discount on your wine purchase or 20% on a case or more throughout this week of giving. So please go to your closet, if you see a coat you have not worn for a long time, chances are you will not miss it, but you will certainly be putting a smile on the face of a local youth. Happy Holidays!
A Toast: To working together to offer assistance to those less fortunate than ourselves.
