I don’t know about you but I am always interested to learn something new. Perhaps you have an interest in learning a new language or how to build a model plane, how to decorate a cake, or maybe to learn more about the wine world. People in the health field continually are saying that we need to challenge ourselves, learn something new every day, work our brain and our bodies to maintain a long and healthy life.
Well, Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery is at your service. We will be conducting classes on Saturday, January 11, 2014 and another on Sunday, January 12, 2014 offering to teach you about tasting wines and how to find the perfect style of wine for you. The best part is you do not need to already know much of anything about wine. We will lay the ground work to teaching you all you need to get your start in the world of vino.
Clover Hill’s Beginner Wine Tasting Classes are taught by one or two of the owner’s of Clover Hill, so you will learn a bit about Clover Hill’s history along with what is meant by a dry versus a sweet wine, why are some wines aged in oak barrels and others just made in stainless steel tanks, what does it mean if a wine is light-bodied or heavy-bodied and so much more. Do you know there are actually health benefits to drinking wine . . . in moderation? You will also get an understanding what the colors of the wines indicate, what is the nose, and the finish of a wine. We will also give you a few hints about pairing wines with foods. You will be amazed at how much you will learn in just 90 minutes. Oh I almost forgot to mention you actually get to examine, smell and taste many wines along the way . . . I’m sure that’s an education you’ve never encountered in past learning experiences.
