Breaking: Police responded to the Willow Grove Mall after reports of a man with a gun, but it turned out he was carrying a cell phone.
Police responded to the Willow Grove Park Mall Tuesday evening after receiving reports of a man with a gun, but it turned out he was carrying a cell phone, according to 6ABC.
The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Police responded to the mall, located on West Moreland Road in Abington Township, and discovered the cell phone had been mistaken for a weapon.
The incident is under control.

Some customers reported via social media the mall had been on lockdown, but mall representatives said there was never a lockdown.
