FRESH GROUND Coffee House with SCHOOL OF ROCK!

FRESH GROUND Coffee House opens their doors to the Fort Washington School of Rock All-Star Band on Feb. 24 at 8pm.  We are thrilled to host Jim Love and the best of the best of the studens at the local franchise of the School of Rock.  They will share their talent in tunes by Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Steely Dan, U2, Hendrix, Queen, Foo Fighters, Peter Gabriel and many more.

FRESH GROUND is free, and we have the best coffee [and French press at your table], delicious teas of all kinds and our special Iced Cafe Supreme drink.  Our baked goods are the best, and butter laden, made by our bakers from Willow Grove Bible Church.  There is always a gluten-free option, too!  FRESH GROUND Coffee House is a place to relax, hear great music, see great art - this month is local artist Sharon Wack - and, if you like, play board games, read a book, get in lively conversation and start a 4 hour long chess game: whatever you like to do!

People that come in for the first time usually say, "I had no idea it would be this great!", or "Why did I wait so long to see this place?" and many more positive comments.  If you'd like to see us in action, take a look at the article from Gerry Dugan of the Patch:

More about the School of Rock, from Jim Love:

"We are driven by a purpose to inspire kids to rock on stage and in life! School of Rock is the national leader in music education for kids. Our proprietary performance-based curriculum teaches kids to play rock music in a unique and interactive way, which is changing the way kids learn to play music across America. Professional musicians teach students of all levels, developing both their music skills and confidence. School of Rock operates 58 schools in 23 states and has developed an aggressive growth strategy seeking franchise partners throughout the United States.   The Fort Washington School of Rock opened in January 2007, and is currently the 5th largest SOR in the nation. The Fort Washington School of Rock House Band is a select group of 15-20 of the most talented and dedicated students at the School. They play a wide variety of family-friendly rock music from the past 50 years, and have been complimented on numerous occasions on their professional-quality musical and performance skills. They have performed locally (World Café Live, Electric Factory, Trocadero, TLA, Milkboy Coffee, etc…), toured regionally and nationally."
