Sunday Cinema foreign film screening and discussion

Upper Moreland Public Library will host a foreign film screening and discussion, on the third Sunday of every month, led by Maurizio Giammarco, Ph.D., instructor at Temple University in the Intellectual Heritage Program.

On Feb. 20, The White Ribbon (German, Rated R) will be shown at 2 p.m. The film has a running time of 144 minutes.

In a north German village, prior to the outbreak of World War I, strange events, accidents and deaths are occurring. The village people are beside themselves with worry, and can't figure out what to do.

After the school teacher starts to unravel the mustery, he discovers that the children of the town may be guilty of the crimes and have formed a secret society.
