The Curious Savage

The Village Players of Hatboro announce the second production of their 63nd Season, “The Curious Savage”, a sweetly sentimental comedy by John Patrick. The show premieres on Friday, January 7th at 8:00 p.m. The theater is located at 401 Jefferson Avenue in Hatboro. For information, call the box office at 215-675-6774.

Mrs. Savage (Barb MacMullen) has been left ten million dollars by her husband and wants to make the best use of it, in spite of the efforts of her grown-up stepchildren (Garry LaSasso, Rose Furmanski, Richard Hall) to get their hands on it. The children commit her to a sanatorium called “The Cloisters”, hoping to bring her to her senses. Once there, she meets various social misfits (Tom Settefrati, Chris DeWitt, Rachel Daly, Carole Gettmann, and Jill Slater) who just cannot adjust themselves to life. In getting to know them, she realizes they know more about life than anyone on the outside. The medical staff (Matt Graglia, Jessica Hansford) tells her there is no reason why she should remain, but she has found a home.
