The 4th of July may bring up thoughts of hot dogs, cheeseburgers, and an abundance of backyard barbecue food up-for-grabs at summer parties and get togethers - but not all people have the privilege of having readily available access to meals when they are needed. It may be surprising to hear that more than 900,000 individuals in the Delaware Valley are living on incomes that put them at risk of hunger each day. 1 in 3 children are at risk of hunger at any given time, and this number is increasing rapidly. Thousands of people in the Delaware Valley area of Pennsylvania need your help.
Willow Grove Day Camp, Move for Hunger, Wheaton WorldWide Moving and Anchor Moving and Storage are teaming up to create a 4th of July food drive to give back to the community and help to conquer hunger. Campers, parents, staff and counselors are encouraged to donate and bring non-perishable goods to any of the Move for Hunger donation boxes located at the camp, 3400 Davisville Road in Willow Grove, PA, from July 1 to July 5, 2013. Anchor Moving and Storage will then bring the donations to The Food Bank of South Jersey to be redistributed to the those in need. Any donation small or large would help to contribute to the fight toward ending hunger in the Delaware Valley and the surrounding areas.
