Former Montco Camp Hope for Kids Employee Charged With Child Rape: Reports

A Montgomery County man has been charged for raping a child at the Camp Hope for Kids in Schwenksville several years ago, according to multiple reports.

David Allen Fichter, 47, of Schwenksville, was a maintenance worker at the camp when he allegedly isolated and sexually abused a 6-year-old girl, according to 6 ABC.

The incident reportedly occurred six years ago.

Fichter fled into the woods to escape but ultimately surrendered on August 12, according to Philly.com.

The investigation began earlier in August after accusations were leveled at Fichter, the reports state.
