Hatboro Federal Donates $222,222 to Local Educational Nonprofits
Recipients include CB Cares, the Hatboro Horsham, Upper Moreland and Centennial Educational Foundations and more.

Hatboro Federal Savings on Tuesday announced the donation of $222,222 to seven area groups that meet the criteria for Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program.
The EITC allows tax credits for eligible businesses contributing to a scholarship, educational improvement or pre-kindergarten scholarship organization.

The 2014 recipients of Hatboro Federal’s EITC contributions are: CB Cares, The Cradle of Liberty Council Boy Scouts of America, The Union Library of Hatboro, The Outdoor School and the Hatboro Horsham, Upper Moreland and Centennial Educational Foundations.
“Since we opened our doors more than 73 years ago, we’ve been helping the communities in which we serve stay strong and vital. This year’s contribution will provide funding for groups that provide much-needed services for Bucks and Montgomery County residents of all ages,” said Linda Roehner, CEO of Hatboro Federal Savings.

“The Hatboro Horsham, Upper Moreland and Centennial Educational Foundations are non-profit groups that enrich and enhance educational opportunities for students through special classroom programs, creative outreach programs, state-of-the-art instructional techniques and materials and more. We consider the education of our children to be a top priority. The more we can motivate and excite them about learning, the better,” said Roehner.
CB Cares, The Cradle of Liberty Council Boy Scouts and the Outdoor School are local organizations that provide programs to support the youth and local education. The Union Library of Hatboro is the second oldest library in Pennsylvania, serving the community since 1755.
Headquartered at 221 S. York Road, in Hatboro, Hatboro Federal also has branch offices in Warminster, Warrington and Jamison, offering financial products and services to individuals and families.
