Pickleball in Action: The Fastest Growing Sport in America

is home to one of the fastest growing sports in the country.

"There are so many people in this area here that are going to pick up interest [in the sport]," , Philadelphia pickleball ambassador, said. “More and more families will get involved, too.”

On Saturday, many came out, despite the rise in temperatures, to play the sport outdoors.

Now with four pickleball courts at the park, Masons Mills allows up to 16 players at a time to play. (It is more popular to play the sports as doubles.)

Pickleball is played all throughout the Philadelphia area, but Mason Mills Park has become a popular site for the sport.

On Tuesdays and Saturdays, Masons Mills Park is home to pick-up games. On Tuesdays, you can find a group on the courts at 6:30 p.m. On Saturdays, the pick-up games are usually in the morning.
