On November 15 we are featuring Abraham Weaver from Austin TX and Bangor PA: With a blend of smooth country notes brightly complemented with a commanding and room-filling power, the voice of Austin, Texas’ very own Abraham Weaver is simultaneously captivating and unforgettable the very moment you hear him start singing. Raised in Southern Texas and hailing all the way from Austin Texas, the “Live Music Capital of the World”, Abraham has been singing and performing since the early 1990s.

Our featured fine artist for Nov. 15: DIANE MAURER, B.W.S. , N.E. W.S. "With a goal of providing a new and different way of seeing everyday scenes for those who will take the time to look, Diane Maurer creates paintings which invoke an emotional response and sense of place. From the finely detailed architecture featured in her lighthouses, snowbound cabins and eastern manors, to a body of richly drawn images of wildlife and flora, Diane demonstrates versatility with subject and style. Diane holds a BFA from Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, where she majored in Interior Design. While eschewing design in favor of a career in fine art, she finds the technical aspects of her background in perspective, composition, drawing and color theory invaluable in mastering watercolor, her medium of choice. Fascinated by the play of light, Diane depicts the delightful shifts of nature; from dazzling sunlight to somber morning fog. This highlights the shape and line of her strong compositions and adds the mood or emotional pull which defines her style. Diane’s paintings are exhibited in numerous invitational and juried shows on a National and regional level. Diane holds signature status in the Baltimore Watercolor Society and the North East Watercolor Society. She has been a long time instructor at Montgomery County Community College as well as at local art clubs. A fairly new venture, is Diane’s own studio, gallery and school, in Oreland, Pennsylvania. Here, Diane holds classes and lecture demonstrations for other artists and art patrons. Paintings can be viewed by appointment and classes are advertised in local papers.
